Confide has held Service Accreditation with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) since 2003. The BACP is the largest professional body representing counselling & psychotherapy in the UK. We are the only counselling organisation in Shropshire to have this quality mark which, as well as providing robust evidence of service performance, safety and professionalism, also demonstrates that we are committed to competence and continual improvement.

We routinely collect data to monitor individual clinical outcomes and overall service performance. Comparing our performance against recognised benchmarks places us in the top quarter of primary care psychological therapy services nationally.

Confide counsellors are professionally supervised and covered by public liability and professional indemnity insurance. All counsellors who work for Confide undergo stringent pre-employment assessments to ensure that they meet our standards. We use the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that our staff are suitable for working with vulnerable people.

We are committed to ensuring that no-one is discriminated against on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage & civil partnership, pregnancy & maternity, race, religion and belief, gender or sexual orientation.

Confide Equality and Diversity Policy

"Counselling gave me time to think and discuss issues that had troubled me for some time. I was able to realise that I had been getting things out of perspective. It helped me a great deal."

"I was unsure about counselling at first, but being able to talk to someone impartial who really listened and understood was so helpful. I now see things differently and feel so much better."

"My counsellor put me at ease and I was surprised how easy I found it to talk about my difficulties. I have become a lot more assertive and realise that I deserve to be happy."
